078 – Converse Poorman Weapon – Black/Tactical

Custom # 78

Date Made: 07/12/2010

Method Used: Reconstructed

Able To Remake? Yes

Info: Converse Poorman Weapon – Black/Tactical. I’ve always wanted to do a custom poorman weapon since I saw the shoe for the first time, when I was finally able to find one for a decent price I snatched one to make myself a pair, I looked around on military boots to see what I could find and found Vietnam Jungle boots. So this is my take on them with of course my own twists, featuring tactical tigerstripe nylon, black leather vinyl, black duck canvas and my own tiger stripe camouflage liner. To finish it off I added my logo on to the tongue, embroidered the border around the chevron star, and added “TACTICAL” and “TIGER” on the sides. A shoe for my secret camouflage love.

I see that a remake is possible… so how much would it cost for a pair?

They would be about 400 with base and extra details like the embroideries. If shipped outside of the US, there would be an additonal 20 dollar charge for internation shipping. These took a lot more effort then they look.

I believe you on the amount of effort it took. I’ve been dreaming of a pair of custom Converse with a camoflauge and/or shooting star (flaming) design. This is the closest thing that I’ve seen. Great job I must say.

Thanks! When I first got them I was thinking of using them as my “cheaper” alternative to customers thinking that it wouldn’t take me too long to build it, but as I mentioned before it took more effort/time then I had expected, I’m hoping to make another pair of Weapons, but at the moment I’m pretty busy with school. So I hope I can make them in the future.
